FUCARE serves Malaysia RAPID refinery project

FUCARE was awarded a contract by Petronas RAPID project on blast protection solutions of HVAC systems.

Under the terms of the contract, FUCARE will be providing all blast dampers required for interconnecting utilities of offsite units and is expected to offer more blast dampers for this project.
The blast dampers to be provided for RAPID project are FUCARE RAPID BLAST DAMPERS FC-BRV-02 with the features of very short closing time and minimum passing through impulse, which assure high protection performance in blocking the blast waves.

About Rapid Refinery Project
 
Malaysian oil and gas company Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) is developing a refinery and petrochemical integrated development project (RAPID) and other associated facilities in Pengerang, Southern Johor, Malaysia, through a project called Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC).
 
Launched in May 2012, PIC is part of the larger Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex (PIPC) proposed by the Johor state government. Total investment for the PIPC project is approximately MYR97bn ($27bn), of which the RAPID project costs MYR57bn ($16bn) and the associated facilities require MYR40bn ($11bn).
 
On February 28 of 2017, Saudi Arabia's state oil company, Saudi Aramco, signed an agreement with Petronas and would invest $7 billion into RAPID project.
